I plan on creating a web quest on volcanos and earthquakes and how they happen. Students will learn about subduction zones and mid ocean ridge, convection currents and the different layers of the earth.

Ode to Webquests
Yo diggity. I am here to rap about web quests. No i am not. i am just kidding. I really like the idea of web quests because it helps the children learn while also using a computer which in todays world you really need to know to get by. They can also learn how to work in a group or individually. it really matters on how you set it up.

I agree that students need to know and understand how to use technology, and I think when that is an option or a required part of the assignment they will enjoy the tasks more than normal!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea! There are a lot of good websites you can use to have students explore and learn about volcanos and earthquakes. I would suggest checking out the smithsonian website for one of your resources because I bet you could find some great information there based on the website evaluation someone did of it last week.
ReplyDeletethat sounds like a good idea. What grade level? you need to be sure to link it to a standard for a particular grade level.
